Calligraphy can be done by all, people who even have a very illegible handwriting. You should not need any prerequisite habit than some pens, nibs and ink.

You should not stand away saying:
- I have a bad handwriting.
- I am not creative.
- I cannot do it!
Any thing of those sort is not any reason you can't do calligraphy. It is possible for all.
I once had a very bad handwriting but I could do calligraphy and improve my handwriting.
